Hello, my name is Rosie and welcome to this micro-course on anti-bullying. Bullying is a serious issue that affects many people, both at work and in their personal lives.
It can take many forms such as verbal, physical, and cyberbullying and can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, race, or background. And in this course, we will explore the topic of anti-bullying and how it can be addressed in the workplace.
I'm sure you can relate to the negative impact of bullying on in your life. It can cause feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. It can also lead to absenteeism and low morale, which can negatively impact productivity and performance. And when it happens in the workplace, it can create a toxic work environment that makes it hard for employees to feel safe and respected.
But there is a way to address it. We can all play a role in creating a workplace that is free of bullying. And that is what this course is all about.
In this micro-course, we will learn what bullying is, its impact on the workplace, and how we can address it. We will also explore key concepts such as bystander intervention, empathy, and communication. And we will talk about how we can apply this knowledge on the job, with specific examples of situations that we may encounter in our own workplaces.
Let's start learning more about anti-bullying and how we can create a more respectful and inclusive workplace. Next, you will hear about Defining Anti-Bullying.
